The Southern Illinois Feline Fanciers held their show July 9 & 10 in Marion,
Illinois. This was the second show of the season where the Household Pet Class
will compete for Regional Wins in Region 6. There were only 9 entries but the
cats were well groomed and in good condition. The Humane Society of Southern
Illinois had two entries. They also had other cats available for adoption. For

have all 9 cats in the final. The scoring was as follows.

All the cats were well behaved and Tempest found a new home. Some of these
cats were purebred cats that had a trait that disqualified them from
championship competition. Some of these cats had very sad stories such as Mozey
who was abandoned when her owners moved. She was found outside with a broken leg
and near death. Now she is competing in a cat show. The best cat, Little Red
was found living in a cage with a ferret. He didn't have a litter box in this
small cage. The Household Pet Competition is for all cats. This year it is even
more fun because you can campaign your pet for a regional win. For more
